Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actress, best known for her performances in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Kun..! In the 1980s when she started her acting career and became famous for her role as Tezaab, in which she starred with veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Then, she starred alongside Aamir as part of Dil. In her early years, the Mumbai-born dancer began learning at an early stage. She ventured into acting as young and fought through a couple of years since many of her early films failed. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and went on to be one of the top actors in the Indian film business. She took a break from her career due to her marriage, before going back to the world of entertainment. In recent times, she was one of the main characters in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Also, she has earned a name for her social activism.
